I currently use 35 of these for my main setup and fifteen for my office. I would recommend a block every 12 to 15 inches. I made these based on the Cardas Multi blocks. I found the Cardas ones to be too expensive ($56 for 6). Cardas ones also fell over very easily (only 1" thick vs. 1 3/16" for mine), especially on carpet. Their slots were small and not good for any thick cords (especially power cords). They were also very low (only 1 5/8" vs. 3 1/2" for mine), forcing me to use more than one in a spot to jump cords, increasing the cost dramatically. The blocks in this listing are sturdier, higher and have bigger slots. Approximate dimensions: 3 1/2" by 3 1/2" by 1 3/16" One slot side--slot is 1 1/2" wide and 1" deep. Two slot side--slots are 3/4" wide and 3/4" deep. If there is one thing not as good as the Cardas ones, it is the finish. I use them as you see pictured here, but if you want a really smooth finish, these will need to be sanded further.Please be sure to look at all the pictures.
