Description: Peru 1792 I.J. 1 Real Silver Milled Bust Coin, King Carolus IIII Silver Lima mint. This specimen is one of a series struck 1791-1808 at Lima, Peru , during the reign of Charles IV (1788-1808). The years 1791-93 saw the use of a local bust slightly larger than the standard bust of later years. Nearly all colonial pillar reales were heavily used that most of them are in really low grades. Nice circulated example of the type! These colonial period coins circulated freely in the many New World colonies of Spain and many were lost in shipwrecks. Mintage: Unknown. Specification: 3.20 grams, Fineness: .896 Fine Silver. The coin imaged is the coin you're bidding on.
