Brooks Publisher: The Century Co., New YorkPublication Date: 1896Condition: Good ITEM DESCRIPTION Today we are pleased to offer this nicely preserved volume of historical fiction by Elbridge S. Brooks! A great find from a local New England estate! This scarce antique volume is over 128 years old! In nice condition overall! Original publisher cloth binding shows some wear, most notably moderate chipping and wear to the cloth on the spine. Binding also shows rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, moderate wear to the rear joint, general wear around the extremities including bumping to the corners and spine extremes, and some rubbing and soiling to the page edges. Binding is also somewhat cocked. Internally, this volume is in good shape as well. There is moderate wear to the rear hinge, and the board is loosely attached. Otherwise the front board and all page groupings remain attached to the binding. There are no bookplates, signatures, inscriptions or library markings to note. The text block of this volume is clean throughout. There is typical age-related toning to the pages, as well as light foxing and soiling scattered throughout, but otherwise this volume is clean and free from rips, tears, writing and markings. Perfectly readable throughout! Nicely illustrated with full page plates. Make sure to see the additional photos below for a thorough look through this antique tome! 320 pages.
