Illustrations: Frontispiece portrait and ten other illustrations, including a facsimile title-page of the first edition, and a facsimile page of the original manuscript. Description: Vol. III only (of seven) from the Haworth Edition of 'The Life and Works of Charlotte Brontë and her Sisters'. Bound in full tree calf with gilt ruled borders to both boards, spine with five raised bands, gilt lettering on brown and red morocco labels, gilt tooling to compartments. All edges marbled. Externally sound and firm with light wear to extremities. Lower board with near full-length vertical scuff. Spine lightly sunned with small loss at head. Internally also sound and firm. Marbled endpapers with bookplate of English engineer and industrialist, Sir James Kemnal, to front pastedown. Pages lightly age-toned with scattered light blemishes, else generally clean and tidy.
