1930's PASS & SEYMOUR Porcelain Art Deco, White Over-sink Sconce & Shade rewired

Description: 1930's Art Deco, Porcelain Sconce & Opal Glass Shade, New Wiring, Restored This over-sink sconce was manufactured by Pass & Seymour during the 1930's. It is marked ALABAX which was the copyrighted term for their porcelain fixtures. The white porcelain is in excellent condition as is the opal glass shade. The sconce has been carefully cleaned and all of the paint and dirt removed from the sides and back. We we rewired it and added a new bulb socket with built in pull chain switch. We also rewired the polarized outlet at the bottom of the fixture, but since it is not a modern 3-wire grounded system, the buyer should discuss with their electrician as to whether to hook it up. We have a second, nearly identical sconce & shade, in another listing, the only difference being that the glass shade is 5/16" narrower. You can see it here. We have tested the fixture and everything works perfectly, and we guarantee it will perform correctly. We will accept its return if the buyer is dissatisfied. The mounting hardware was missing when we got the fixture, so we made some up and it is included in the sale (last photo). Dimensions: 5" diameter at the wall, projects 8" from wall with shade in place. Uses standard base bulb (not included). Incidentally, we left the chain long (18") but it is easy to trim and we would be glad to trim if for you if you specify the length you want.
