It is vintage 1931 homespun advice on how a boy should behave on his path to becoming a man. It tells boys to "keep their speech clean" and "get some grit". Get urges them to maintain their health, always be truthful, and have good sportsmanship. It talks about the benefits of working hard. It has a section about avoiding "fast girls" and respecting your mother and your home. It talks about the joys and benefits of friendship, and the importance of school. Book is faded a bit with age. The cover has a few marks and bumps. The back of the cover has some spotting and fading. A boy's pastor wrote a dedication to the boy in the front. The pages have yellowed with age.
