Description: We have a fantastic Rumrill ( Red Wing) pottery jardiniere two-handled pot, model #302. The pot measures 5" tall x 3" in diameter, and 5" wide from handle to handle. It is incised on the bottom in irregular letters RumRill and 302. It's "The Color" which is a real eye-stopper, being an orange and brown lava drip glaze in a matte finish. It is fun, smart and would fit beautifully in a mid century modern environment. In 1931 Red Wing Pottery shifted to making art pottery, much of which consisted of vases, designed by the legendary designer, George Rumrill. George Rumrill was an extraordinary designer and salesman. He died in 1943. We believe this pot was made in the 1930s-1940s. Thank you for looking.
