Fort Benning's radio code school Fort Benning, Georgia - Before a soldier is allowed to become a student in the Second Armored Division's new radio code school he must pass an aptitude test. The machine shown here plays round records which test the soldier's hearing to see whether or not he'll make a good operator. The school is being built entirely by personnel of the 142nd Signal Armored Company, under the supervision of 1st Lieutenant Eric R. Osborne. When complete, the school will accommodate 100 men.
