Description: This is a lovely and rare circulated red-brown 1950 S American Lincoln wheat penny minted in San Francisco. The coin's reverse has been struck on a defective planchet in a manner we have not previously seen. It is a defective planchet as the letters M and D are very clearly stamped in what looks like track type depression in the coin and the rim is also not affected.. This is a very odd and interesting error coin. The coin shown in the photographs is the exact coin you will receive. It is secured in a protective holder.
