Description: This swingy strapless dress was handmade by my mother, probably in the early 1950s (judging by the size). At that time, she was 5' 6" and 125 lbs. My best guess is that this is about a US size 6 or 8. The fabric is rayon, and the bodice is fitted, with stays, and lined. It's hard for me to imagine someone making this, but my mother was a very accomplished seamstress. I am listing other of her (mostly) handmade clothes from the 1950s/1960s.
