Description: This is a new 9" single diaphragm brake booster, a new Master Cylinder, a new Brass Disc Drum Proportioning Valve with Lines & Bracket for 1967-1969 Ford Mustangs with disc brakes in front and drum brakes in rear. Master cylinder features:2 fluid reservoirs9/16" & 1/2" Ports1" Bore Compatible disc/drum proportioning valve kit (self adjusting valve, pre-bent lines for 1/2" and 9/16" master cylinder ports, bracket to mount kit to the driver side of the master cylinder, and bolts)The proportioning / combination valve performs all of the necessary valving functions with a disc brake conversion… Proportioning: As more force is applied to the brakes the car will begins to lean forward, less braking force is needed in the rear. This valve decreases the pressure to the rear which prevents them from locking up.Metering: Metering is used in the front disc brake portion in the disc/drum system to delay application of the front discs allowing the slower reacting drum brakes to catch up, which provides rear stability on wet surfaces that helps prevent front pad to wear.Residual Pressure: Drum Brakes require residual pressure of 10 lbs. to be held in the line. This pressure keeps the brake shoes close to the drums, giving you a more firm pedal feel. Check out my ebay store for more quality automotive accessories. New items are being added daily.
