It contains the EEC 50 pence circulating commemorative, the first circulating commemorative coin of the decimal currency.The set also includes a 1973-dated oblong Royal Mint token.All coins in the set (and the set itself) are dated 1973, but it was actually issued in 1976.This was the only mint set issued for this year. 100,000 sets minted.
