COMPATIBLE YEARS & MODELS: 1975-76 Only, All models except Seville. DONOR VEHICLE: 1975 Eldorado Convertible (Speedo production date unknown). ITEM CONDITION: Good Condition. Could be used as-is or poach the parts for your existing speedometer. Mechanically the following items are tested and the results are below: #1) Speedometer Needle works via the Speedo cable. I don't recall if the main odometer works (likely it does). #2) Trip Odometer -- NOT WORKING. Reset Knob does not engage the mechanism/gear that rolls the digits. Has common surface rust on rod, apparently Cadillac never coated this item. #3) Speedometer face is very clean, not faded or dull. Has a tiny few rust bleed dots that are barely visible. Pretty good silk-screening (the letters/numbers) that has survived time. Lenses for Turn Signal & High Beams are Excellent. #4) Gear Shift Indicator works properly. Spring mechanism in great shape, glides across the positions well (sample photo shows orange indicator in secondary position). Metal frame around the speedo/shift area shows some rust bleeding through and a dimple well below the gear selection area (not seen when mounted, can transfer this piece from your exiting speedo assy). This should be a pretty decent replacement for your non-working Speedometer or damaged Housing / Speedometer Face. If you need something nicer - visit my eBay store for more choices.
