Charred wreckage lies beside Interstate 90 east of Snoqualmie Pass after 10,000 gallons of gasoline in an overturned tanker truck burned yesterday. The pass was closed for a time. The State Patrol said an eastbound car slid on ice about 3 a.m. then was struck by a Bon truck carrying clothing, furniture and other merchandise. The Service Tank Lines tanker hit the Bon truck, troopers said, rolled over and caught fire. The three vehicles were destroyed. No one was hurt. The State Patrol closed the pass for several hours, then began alternating traffic past the crash site, using the westbound lanes.Photo measures 11.75 x 9inches. Photo is dated 02-04-1982.
