1988 BMW E28 M5 illuminated front sun visors SUPER RARE XLNT Condition 2230051/2

Description: BMW E28 M5 front illuminated sun visors, complete set with the hook receiver clips. All mounting screws included. PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION AND REVIEW ALL IMAGES BEFORE DECIDING ON MAKING A PURCHASE. Both are in excellent overall condition, especially for the age and how rare these are to find, they are NO LONGER AVAILABLE! Black in color Both show good, even color and texture throughout (one has a light spot of color fading). The material where the side posts enter the visors is fully intact and doesn’t show material shrinkage. Both mirrors and lighting surrounds are in really nice condition, glass and plastic are free of flaws, other than light signs of use. Mirror slide covers move freely both to cover and open. NOTE: when I acquired these, the lights did not operate correctly, I fiddled with the connections and could not get them to light. I took apart one visor roof mount to diagnose the issue, I then decided to take the sliding doors out and poke around. Findings: Someone prior to me had taken the sliding doors out, one tension spring was missing (but they both opened and closed correctly and with ease), some of the inner surround clips that hold the edges to the bases were either missing or broken, BUT, when putting them back together the edges fit correctly. I've had the doors both in and out but have decided to leave them out so the needed repairs could be make, I am unable to make these repairs. The one outside mounting base remains apart. While apart, the mirror lights did light up when fed 12V to the white wire inside the visor, using the outside mount tabs a 12V negative. Images show both mirror lights illuminated. PART/S WILL BE PAINT MARKED AND THE PAINT CAN BE REMOVED WITH NAIL POLISH. THESE PARTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR RETURN IF PAINT IS MISSING OR HAS BEEN ALTERED.
