Description: This listing is for 2 vintage metal Charity Tzedakah Boxes from the Kolel Shore HaChomot and the Rabbi Meir Baal HaNess Charities in Jerusalem, Israel. 1) On the front side it reads in English "AN EMPIRE OF TORAH AND CHESED IN ERETZ YISRAEL founded by such great tzaddikim as the Ksav Sofer and Maharam Ash" and in Hebrew "ממלכת התורה וחסד בארץ הקודש נוסד ע״י צדיקים קדושי מרן הכתב סופר ומחר״ם א״ש זיע״א". On the back in reads in English "RABBI MEIR BAAL HANESS CHARITIES KOLEL SHOMRE HACHOMOT JERUSALEM" and in Hebrew "צדקת רבי מאיר בעל הנס כולל שומרי החומות בעיה״ק ירושלים תובב״א". On of of the narrow sides in lists their address in Hebrew and English as being at "75 Mea Shearim St. Jerusalem". This measures 5" x 3 7/8" x 2". 2) This comes with a key that opens the bottom. The front is mostly in Hebrew with a little Yiddish. It says that the Kolel Shore HaChomot supports scholars, orphans, elderly, widows, and the sick. It is located in the old city of Jerusalem. The side of the box lists an address in New York City at 5 Beekman Street. It says in English & Yiddish "When you move, kindly take the box with you and notify KOLEL SHOMRE HACHOMOS". The back side says in English "REB MEIR BAAL HANESS KOLEL SHOMRE HACHOMOS JERUSALM - Charity for the poor, aged folk, widows, orphans and sick in the Holy Land." This measures 4 1/2" x3 1/2" x 1 5/8" Both of these picture line drawings of the tomb of Rabbi Meir Baal Haness in Tiberias. He was known as a miracle maker.
