Description: This sale is for 1 Set of 5 ea. WWII 'Turn To Dim' Panel Lamps Here are 4 Amber Instrument Panel Lights and 1 Red Instrument Panel Light actually removed from the cockpits of Combat Aircraft at the Kingman Warbird Graveyard 70+ years ago. In excellent used condition, this rare style has 3/4" diameter, knurled BLACK steel bezels with SQUARE edges and GLASS lenses. All our Turn-To-Dim Lights come with everything needed for mounting... an Adapter goes through the instrument panel and threads into the Lamp Base. The adjustable Head then threads onto the Adapter. They fit a 5/8" opening and will take either #313 28-volt bulbs for aircraft restorers or #53 12-volt automotive bulbs. The iris adjusts from full bright (for daytime) to pinpoint (for nighttime) so you rat rodders can put some cool WWII history into your ride... May or may not contain a working bulb. Because these Lights were removed from Kingman Fighters & Bombers after WWII, they will show signs of use and 8 decades of storage. NOTE: This type of Turn-To-Dim Light was also found in the cockpits and crew stations of virtually every other type of plane used by the USAAF & USN during WWII.
