Description: THESE GRIPS HAVE AN IMPERFECTION IN THE GRAIN OF THE WOOD ON THE UPPER EDGE OF THE LEFT PANEL.We now have some beautiful grips for the AMT .357 Magnum and .44 Magnum pistols made originally by Arcadia Machine & Tool (AMT). These grips are made ONLY for the centerfire .357 and .44 Magnum pistols, and do not fit the AutoMag II/.22 Magnum rimfire or AMT III models. These grips have the TDE logo on them; for others with no logos or other logos of the various entities that made the guns in their history, see our other listings.These are made of hand-selected fine English walnut that is partially checkered, leaving the upper portion smooth; the two surface treatments are separated by a sharply-defined border that exists between checkering and smooth, providing a unique and functional grip. The checkering is done with such detail as can only be done by lasers. The laser-cut borders of the grips are finely etched into the wood, accentuating the wood's natural grain and rich beauty. The grips can be mounted using the original screws. A great way to provide a secure grasp on your pistol while enhancing the appearance of your rare AMT pistol.These are made of solid walnut, and are quality grips - there is no laminate or synthetic material used here. When installed on your pistol these grips leave the frontstrap (and backstrap)open. Some fitting of the grips may be needed to these guns, as the gun frames themselves varied during their production.These grips aren't stained, varnished or coated with anything that impairs the natural beauty of the wood. They're lightly treated with fine oil to act as a preservative and help ward off moisture.We have just a few these left, so if you have an AMT .357 Magnum or .44 Magnum pistol and would like a set of these grips, get them while they're available. Fitting may be needed on these grips for your particular gun since the frames vary in exact dimensions.These are for either left- or right-handed shooters, as there is no distinct thumb rest on either side's grip panel. This is a great way to improve the appearance and handling of your gun without spending a lot of money, and while saving those original fine wood grips for another day.
