Description: Amtrak - Coast Starlite Postcard By 1974, the Coast Starlight (Seattle-San Francisco/Oakland-Los Angeles) replaced the Coast Daylight/Starlight over the same route. EMD E9A locomotive #418 leads the train and wears the first Amtrak paint scheme introduced in 1972. Built by General Motors' Electro-Motive Division, this locomotive was originally owned by Union Pacific Railroad but was turned over to Amtrak when it took over the nation's intercity passenger rail services. Postcards were often sold on board trains and in stations, or provided as a complimentary gift to sleeping car passengers. Very good condition, please review the photos. Packed with care and shipped with tracking via eBay standard envelope.
