Description: A classic Torso sandstone male figure 'Khleang style', stylistically and iconographically executed in traditional Khmer Angkorian style, standing in 'Samabhanga', with a well defined naked upper body, the torso is in excellent condition, a solid fragmented section, unaltered and unrepaired, beautifully modeled with detailing still clearly visible.Little notable evolution in this style, apart from simplification. The statues inherit some modelling of earlier periods, strongly influenced by the Pre Rup and Banteay Srei styles, but in a less rugged form. Few of the statues have survived. The figure is presented on a matte-black stand.If you examine the enlarged photos of this sculpture, you'll see that it has been meticulously crafted with stunning details.
