Description: Fantastic and extremely rare, antique, early 19th century French Empire gilt spelter ormolu figural mantel clock with Roman man surmount, from the early 1800’s. Missing key but can easily be replaced. Made in France.Very rare piece of history.Sold as seen in photos. Functionality of clock is untested as I do not have the knowledge or capacity to test it. You will need to test it yourself or take it to a horologist that specialises in refurbishing antique clocks and watches, may have missing pieces which may need to be replaced. Perfect for collectors. Has signs of wear as you'd expect from a 200 year old antique. Pins missing on the top and side and cover missing on the back.Height 32 cm, width 22 cm, depth 9 cm. Weight 3.13 kg.Please be sure to closely inspect all photos provided for condition before purchase to avoid disappointment as this is a very expensive item and will cost a very high price to insure and post anywhere outside the UK. Please refrain from buying if you are not sure as I'd like it to go to a good home where its splendour will be greatly admired and hopefully restored back to its original beauty if possible.
