Description: Please email with any questions. Circa 1900 brooch of blackened sheet brass with embossed design, 2 5/8" by 1 5/8", unmarked as to manufacturer. The brass has a satin finish of black over the brass and the brooch has a single faceted amber glass oval stone, with brass bezel. A fish curves around the stone which is surrounded by swirling water. Some brass shows through the high points of the design because of some wear to the black finish. Some wear to the brass bezel and glass stone as well. A very interesting Japanesque design.
