Description: Rare antique table top lamp featuring a colorful, hand painted mud man (figurine of a Chinese wise man or old sage). Made of ceramic with a glaze that is a mix of gloss and matte. The green felted lining under the metal base looks like it may have been added later. There seems to be a scepter or something similar missing from his right hand. The item he is holding in his left hand appears to be broken (see photos). Neither issue is highly noticeable. This lamp definitely needs rewiring. It worked recently as there is a new bulb and lampshade (both included). Otherwise, this piece is in good, clean, solid vintage condition and is ready for your adoration.
