Description: Offered is a late 1800's or early 1900s chocolate pot in very condition. Nicely decorated with a bold yet graceful art nouveau design with plenty of gold detail. It is marked on the bottom, "Hand Painted, Germany" with a crown. I like the more modern, less Victorian look of this pot and it shows how styles were beginning to change. No chips or cracks and no noticed crazing. The bottom of the inside is slightly stained on the inside. I'm selling it as I bought it and didn't try to clean it. Also noticed on the center of the back, a scuff between the two gold flowers. It's not a big deal, and it is definitely not a crack. See last photo. Lastly, there is wear to the gold on the handle. 9.5" tall with lid and 6.5" wide I purchased this at an upscale estate auction. The woman had dozens and dozens of chocolate pots and chocolate sets.
