Description: Beautiful antique cupboard, c.1800-1840. Found in New England. Original red wash exterior paint. Square and rose head nail construction. White pine with chestnut backboards. The cabinet maker definitely made an effort to have a more ‘formal’ country piece. Raised panel lower doors are applied instead of rail and stile construction, picture frame molding, very thin rails on the glass door ends, the ‘cupids bow’ cut outs on the bottom sides. Great patina, dry and grungy surface. All the glass is old, about 70 percent is early original wavey and bubbled, the rest is later, probably Victorian era. Measures about 75" high, 49" wide, 19" deep. Very heavy, it will definitely need a few strong people to move. More photos can be sent to your email if desired. Thank you for looking.
