Antique FRANZ SCHMIDT SIMON HALBIG 1294 German Bisque Head LARGE Baby Doll

Description: This is a LARGE life- size baby doll measuring about 26-27" (66-68 cm) with a head circumference of about 17.75 - 18" (45-46 cm). She has rosy cheeks, a dimpled chin, two teeth, and large set glass brown eyes. Baby is 1294 doll made in Germany by Franz Schmidt or Simon Halbig. Her synthetic blond wig is not firmly attached so her head can be packed for shipping. Her head has been light tested and no issues were found although there is a very small corner nick in the inner right eye. It is rather difficult to see but it is present. See photos for further details. The chubby composition body shows normal wear for its age, with all fingers and toes present. It has likely been repainted (I cannot confirm this) and the stringing seems fine. She probably had a sound box of some sort at one time given the back opening. Her clothing includes a long white christening gown, two slips, pantaloons, cotton booties, and a bonnet. This size and mold are not often found. The doll is from a clean, smoke free environment.
