Description: This is a Japanese Satsuma Vase from the Meiji Period. This features a lidded vase with a dragon on top of the lid and then on each side, almost like handles on the vase. The bottom that looks like chips are actually the design of the piece (although there one small chip along that base). It is in beautiful condition! The colors are bright and vibrant yet. There is very little crazing on the pottery. The paint has a 3d effect of dragons on it and it's still strong and stable. They have been packed away inside smaller totes on top of long threads of cotton rope. It is 13 3/4" in height with the lid on. The lid standing alone is 4.75" of the vase, making the vase without lid about 9". Vase opening is 4" in diameter, and the vase itself is 8 inches across at it's widest and tapers down to 2.25 inches at its smallest, which is the bottom inside of the piece. The detail work is exquisite! I have 2 other listings in this same style if you are interested in this type of artwork. It is for a church auction--so all money will go towards the church! This will be shipped priority as it is well over 100 years old and I want it to make it to it's destination. It will be shipped inside the small tote with the cotton rope, and then packed well inside a box. Smoke free, pet friendly home. Thank you for looking! There may be a variation in color due to camera lighting. I try to be as specific to colors in the listings as possible. Returns/Claims: I accept returns but need to be notified within 14 days of receiving. The item must be returned in the same condition it was sent. If it was sent with tags, it must be returned with tags. If it is in original packaging, it must not be opened. You are responsible for the price of the return shipping. PLEASE ask any questions you may have about the size or fit of a garment. I always take pictures of the tags and include them. I measure what most areas of contention are for different sizes, but if you have further questions please ask as each garment may fit you differently. If the return is due to my error, I will pay for return shipping, however if it is due to a change of mind or a garment not fitting (if the descriptions are correct) then the refund will ONLY be for the item and not for any of the shipping to or from. Claims: For glass or fragile items if the item is damaged in transit, I ask that you please keep all packing material and boxes and take as many pictures as possible for the claim with USPS/FedEx/UPS. I will refund you ASAP, but will need you to retain the damage until I can get the claim filed and approved. Payment: I ask that you please pay within 48 hours of your winning bid. If not, an unpaid case will be opened automatically by eBay. Shipping: I typically ship 3 times per week..Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. This ensures that almost every package that is paid for is shipped within 48 hours of payment (minus weekends). I can and will ship on other days if needed sooner, but this needs to be addressed before final payment as the shipping price may change if it's requested for a rush ship. Once I ship, I cannot guarantee the shipping date as it's up to USPS at that point. Shipping prices may increase if you are located in Alaska or Hawaii. If you are international please be aware of what your shipping charges are internationally-I do not have those included in my pricing. Multiple orders: If you should find more than one item you'd like to purchase from me, WONDERFUL! I'd be happy to package them together, however, if you pay ahead of me combining invoices I will ship separate. As far as charges go I charge for the new weight with the combined package. Thank you!
