Description: Antique MINI LANE CEDAR WOOD CHEST ART DECO No Key Gordon & Lane High Point. This would have been a display so that a furniture store could show patrons what their full size chest would look like when it was delivered. This was a sample from the Gordon and Land furniture company in High Point North Carolina. There have been some repairs since this beauty is almost 100 years old. They are towards the back of the chest mostly and consist of clear glue to fix the top of the chest. There is also some gluing at the corners but it is not extremely distracting. I’m glad someone took the time to preserve this beautiful little sample. It appears that the furniture store owner wrote 1937 on the bottom. Still has the original paper label underneath. The hole in the front for the key should have a metal insert which is missing, and there is no key. But this is a unique art deco version and I haven’t seen a lot of them.
