Description: Up for sale is this vintage pair of Japanese menuki or hilt ornaments. They depict foo dogs or shi-shi and are made of various quantities of silver mixed with copper which is an alloy the Japanese call "shibuishi". The silver content can range from 10% to as much as 60%. The higher the quantity of silver, the more the metal takes on a silvery gray appearance. These menuki are in very good condition and ready to mount on your tsuka or display in your fittings collection. Will ship to U.S. addresses only. Will ship by USPS Ground Select.
