Description: Antique Hand Painted Porcelain Brass Bezel Pin Brooch Woman Miniature For Your Vintage Jewelry Collection Details Description: A gorgeous antique brooch having a porcelain center with a hand painted miniature of a woman or child with a white head cover within a brass bezel. The miniature shows a young girl of woman having dark hair, a gold earring, and wearing a white scarf around her head. The hand painted miniature is on a rectangular piece of porcelain and is mounted in a brass bezel having a rope shaped border with extra wrapped rope in the middle of each side. The brooch has a hinged pin on the back that goes into a loop to lock it in place. A beautiful piece of art in a brooch to wear. Please carefully review the photos as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: Uncertain, but most likely sometime in late 19th century or early 20th century. Origin: Purchased at an estate sale in southeastern Pennsylvania. Size: Measures ~1 7/8" by ~1 5/8" and weighs a bit over 1/2 an ounce. Maker: Unknown Marks: Unmarked. Condition: The brooch is in very good condition with no breaks, repairs, or losses. The painting has a few scratches and minor losses while the bezel is soiled and could probably use a good cleaning.
