Description: This is an Antique Seated Wood Buddha Figure from Thailand. This piece was purchased in Bangkok in the early 1970's by my father who was an antique dealer in Penang, Malaysia at the time. He purchased his inventory primarily from two well respected dealers in Bangkok at the time - Peng Seng & Anna's Antiques. Based on my experience & knowledge of these type of figures, I estimate this item dates to well before the Turn of the Century. The piece has an interesting Face perhaps reflecting a Carver with Chinese heritage. Please review the Condition Description above: Overall the figure is in Good Condition however the tip of the head spike is broken (common issue with older Buddha figures).
