Description: This wonderful Seth Thomas Model 102 clock from the 1880s came to us from a local tinkerer. It's one of the most interesting adamantine finishes Seth Thomas issued in this period with brilliant yellows, oranges and greens against a field of black. We've restored the finish using only a neutral cleaner and the best hard wax available, carefully done some minor cleaning to the copper accents, and had to do very little to the clockworks themselves. The finish has a wonderful polish and deep rich luster which the photographs don't do justice to. It comes with the original pendulum and original key which both winds the time and strike arbors and adjusts the clock speed (upper center near 12). Condition: the clock is in full working order, both time and strike, and has been in continuous operation in our shop for a couple of weeks without any issue. Original pendulum and key included. There is some minor perhaps sun-fading to the back edges of the sides of the black background field. Most of the original label on the back is still present. The photographs are an integral part of the condition statement. The clock is 16.5 inches wide, 6.5 inches depth and 11.125 inches in height. It weighs 7 lb 10 oz. Our Shipping & Handling includes full insurance and professional packing for worry free shipment (see our Customer Reviews). This is a large and relatively heavy item which will incur significant shipping charges.
