Description: This beautiful 19'' antique doll by Simon & Halbig is a rare find for collectors. With its light red wavy hair and brown eyes, it exudes a charming, alert look. Four perfect teeth show in her mouth. The doll is made of high-quality bisque, and it measures 19 inches in length and size. The doll's body is kid leather. It is an original piece manufactured in Germany between 1903-1910, making it a valuable addition to any collection. The doll includes a stand. It is a girl doll, and its complexion is light. The doll is not vintage and was not manufactured as a licensed reproduction. It is a perfect item for those who appreciate antique dolls and want to add a unique piece to their collection. My suggestion as a doll collector is to replace the wig in order to show off her beautiful facial expression, which is currently hid by her bangs. The wig is glued to her head but could easily be removed. The back of her head is marked Germany 1250 6 1/2. The outfit she is wearing does NOT fit properly and is secured with safety pins. Her original outfit was quite gaudy and from a different time period. The bright colors took away from her face and I placed her in cream to match the time. She does, however, have earrings in that matched the bright outfit. Earrings could, of course, be removed. I have added a bonnet. Really a unique doll. Her facial expression and skin color are so beautiful. If you'd like to see more photos, don't hesitate to ask for specifics.
