Description: Antique 1892 TOC Featherstone Duke Scorcher Safety Bicycle The Duke is a Fixed Gear Safety Bicycle made by A. Featherstone & Company who made High Quality Bicycles out of Chicago, Illinois USA. Scorcher Safety Bicycles had unique look with long head tube and progressive sloped top tube. The Scorcher frame was only used for a few years in the beginning of the seen safety bicycle era. This Duke Scorcher has a 30" front wheel and 28" rear wheel with Deluxe Features of Fenders and Pneumatic Tires. This Featherstone has been Lux Low Patina Restored, Rebuilt, and Resuscitated. What's left of Original Paint is deep cleaned and sealed. The Bike is Quality Construction with unique parts: Unique Hanger with Cottered Cranks, Chainring & Pedals, Big Block Chain 28" fixed gear rear wheel and 30" front wheel with fenders, and long swooping handlebars. The Bike was restored as found, the non drive side has a replacement crank and pedal. The leather saddle and faux foam wood grips are blending replacements, since I could not find proper parts. She is a cool looker, but I would say the wheels and Pneumatic tires are the main reason she is not on the road. A Good Piece of History for a Collection or Display. Stand NOT Included.
