Description: This is one of 12 used 1 million Argentine peso notes that we have for sale. It was a standard circulated banknote issued by the Central Bank of the Republic of Argentina. It was intended to address Argentina's rampant inflation in the 1980's. The note is pink in colour and bears the signatures of both Pedro Camilo Lopez and Egidio Iannella, with the displayed image being that of the much revered General Jose de San Martin. On its reverse, there is a depiction of the crowd at Buenos Aires on 25 May 1810 taken from the painting “El pueblo quiere saber de que se trata” (The people want to know what it is about) by Ceferino Canacini. The note does not have a security thread, however, it does have a the security watermark of a sunburst pattern. The note was demonetized in 1985 by the central bank of Argentina.
