Description: An auction catalogue for a stamp and postal history auction which took place at Longleys, in Waterdown (Hamilton) Ontario on 18 January, 2020. The book is a large, standard-format softcover, and included a great variety of Canadian and world philatelic items. In particular, this auction featured the “Earl Palmer collection of Anglo-Boer War” material, and the “Pacific Collection of Dr. George Vanier.” Another interesting item was the “Montreal Herald Newspaper Reciept Book.” A huge array of mostly Canadian postal history passing before the auctioneer’s gavel. A very recent sale of Canadian material, and showing the latest trends. The sale, as a whole, consisted of over 800 separate lots, all of which have good descriptions and a colour photo accompanying. Also details of provenance, and provides an estimated price. This is great for the collector, so you can compare the value of these pieces with others. Also a great reference, as these items were assembled here once, only to be dispersed to different private buyers, most not to be seen in public again for a generation. The illustrations are stunning, and it’s like having a stamp museum on your shelf! The book is large format, measuring about 9 x 11 inches. It has a softcover, with glossy pages for all the photographs. It is 80 pages long. The book is used, but in good condition. No writing, no stains or soiling, and a crisp clean cover. The top bidder should add $6.99 postage within Canada, or $12.99 for mailing to the USA. I have other, similar catalogs up now, so check that out too, and save on postage. Please e-mail me if you have any questions, and thanks for looking!
