The ring is hallmarked and features a beautiful, genuine transparent natural Australian opal and this is surrounded by wonderful purple spinel -this ring was a lot of money when new, it was a limited edition of very few and did have a certificate ,but i lost all my paper work in a flood many years ago -this was over 220 -these opals are very hard to find Please take a close look at the pictures, as they are an important part of the description—be sure to zoom in to appreciate the details.
