This listing is for a Berg Larsen ebonite (hard rubber) tenor saxophone mouthpiece. This is a relatively new one. It is stamped 85 2 M on the shank; however, it has been refaced/modified. The work was done by James Bunte, who is one of the best re-facers in the business. He opened this one up to .105" (the equivalent of an Otto Link 7*) and also filled in the point of the 'bullet' chamber with epoxy to extend the baffle. The work was expertly executed, as would be expected of Bunte. The rails are perfectly balanced, and the finish work is exquisite! James etched his initials and the new tip opening lightly on the side. This mouthpiece is in excellent condition. The facing is perfectly smooth and there are no tooth indentations on the beak. There are no significant scratches. There is a tiny spot of scuffing on the edge of the beak. The rubber is still black and shiny, and the logo/markings are nice and clear.
