Description: Brass Rubbing-Malcolm Norris-Hardcover w/ Ephemera-1967-Westminster Abbey. This is a weird listing. I'm not sure I should have it under the book category. I'll explain. I found this book from the 60's and I just thought the cover was cool. When I see something like this, I pick it up. The book itself is in acceptable condition but it's admittedly aged and has significant wear. I pictured that in the listing. There's dust jacket wear and tear and foxing on the outer leaves of the pages. Pictured all of that. The book itself has an inscription on the inside that says, "Happy Easter 1967." If you just want the book, do not buy this listing. You can find the book, a newer version much cheaper here on ebay. I don't want anyone to overpay me, if they are just looking for the book. This listing includes ephemera along with the book and that's why it's priced like this. What I found inside the book is almost more cool than the book itself. Inside, there is an original form, perhaps from the previous owner, dating from 1967 from Westminster Abbey. It is the original permission form to do the brass rubbings in the Abbey. This is an activity that people still do today. They go and make impressions of the various monuments. Maybe those papers were included as part of the original book? I don't think so. They were folded in half, so yes there is a crease in the papers, as pictured. There is also some sort of original poster inside the book. Again, this was wrapped into segments of four. I have pictured that as well. Anyway, I know this is a very niche topic "brass rubbing" and probably not of interest to everybody but I think it's neat. The form from 1967 says that it costs 1 British pound to submit the form! Inflation has changed things. Enjoy!
