Description: Case XX USA 3 dot 1977 stamp. Two-blade “Premium Stock Knife”, pattern # 06247 PEN, 3-7/8” closed.Slim single-backspring design.Nickel silver liners with pinned CASE oval shield.The blade steel is CV (carbon) steel.Both blades have strong snap, no wobble.Nice dark chestnut bovine bone handles.The handles have no cracks or chips.A mint knife - never sharpened, carried, or cleaned, original factory finish and edges. An old-line Case pattern - discontinued in 1983.Included is a vintage Case “pumpkin” box that originally held six of the 06247 PEN pattern.The handles on this knife were crafted from South American Zebu cattle shin bone. Genus/Species - Bos indicus or Bos taurus indicus.
