Charlene Wildeman received her Bachelor of Fine Art in Art and Design from the University of Alberta in 2001. During her studies she was able to attend the Kent Institute of Art and Design in Canterbury, England. Her main area of focus at that time was in Printmaking. She moved toward painting as a focus after leaving the University. In 2007, she received a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education. She works as an art teacher and artist. As an artist, she looks closely at the details in the world around her. She is fascinated with texture, color and patterns that she sees in her surroundings. She is most inspired by organic elements in nature and objects showing the passage of time. Most of her inspiration comes from places she's visited during camping adventures, traveling or walking through nature. She loves layers, textures and an abundance of colors.
