The Baltimore Cemetery's permanency was guaranteed by a Perpetual Charter granted by the State of Maryland Legislature in 1849. The booklet reported at the time of publishing that the cemetery now had 21,000 lots and total internment of 75,000. The 16-page soft-cover booklet measures 5.75" x 9" and is in used condition; cover is in fine shape with a few small stains, smudges and bumped corners; staple-binding is nice and tight, some rust on staples; interior pages are in good condition showing discoloration, soiling, water stains, folds on corners.
