Description: A lovely Art Deco or Oriental Revival figurine designed by Sylvia Scott and produced by Goldscheider Inc., as #283 Chinese Guitarist. The musician is beautifully hand painted in canary yellow, jade green, black and white. The underside carries the hallmark Goldscheider Inc., so this piece was likely made in New Jersey sometime between 1946 and 1953 when Goldscheider became Goldcrest Ceramics. Condition: excellent with no damage noted, free of crazing. The underside is unglazed. Dimensions: 7-1/2" tall, 4-1/2" long, 3" deep Weight: 1 lb. 6.7 oz.
