The Kherson region is a land with a long history, the land of Cossack glory, the cradle of shipbuilding. And it was the Kherson region that was occupied by the enemy from the first days of the full-scale invasion, and Kherson is the only regional center that the Russian invaders managed to capture from February 24, 2022. The Kherson region became one of the centers of the partisan resistance movement; residents of the city and region, despite the danger and aggression, resolutely went to rallies and organized a public resistance movement. The city was under occupation for 256 days, but today the Armed Forces of Ukraine returned Kherson under the Ukrainian flag!
