Description: CIVIL WAR, MODEL 1851 INFANTRY, RIFLEMAN, SHOULDER DRESS EPAULETTES, UNION Please Note: We originally had these listed as Berdan Sharpshooter Epaulettes. After further research, and input from other collectors, it was determined that these are actually M-1851 Infantry, Rifleman Epaulettes. None the less, these are in mint condition! Each epaulette incorporating stiff frames, uppers in green wool with a checkered pattern, the crescent ridge of the protruding wide oval caps trimmed in two rows of green angled embroidery, the outer row butting the fringe wider than the row butting the wool upper, multiple strands of embroidered green fringe dangling from the oval cap, with the fringe. Both with a brass button at the neck end illustrating the United States (Union) eagle bearing a shield on its chest. The undersides on both are padded with a brown material. The securing clips at the neck end are intact.
