Description: Indian Territory: End Of The Trail Collection Limited Ed. 5/150 from 1994 (LOCAL PICKUP OR UPS STORE SHIP ONLY) Measures: 42" x 14" x 4" Removable glass front An artfully crafted oak shadow box of a newly created artifact by Jeff Bluewater Hopkins (1947-2003). Of the Cherokee nation, his vision through his "Indian Territory" label, was to preserve the sacred nature of old native American artifacts and history. This replica war lance depicts "the end of the trail" as taken from the famous sculpture by James Earl Fraser signifying the absolute despair and final defeat of the American Indian by the white man. Using real buckskin, raw hide, and flaked stone spearhead this newly created broken lance symbolizes both the broken promise of the white man and the broken spirit of the Indian. The door of the 14" wide, 4" deep and 42" long shadow box opens. This is #5 of a limited edition of 150 from 1994.
