Description: This is an Estate Fresh Native American Indian Jar or Pot from a local Estate home and long time collector of Native American Pottery Art and Artifacts. This piece is a FANTASTIC 8" HOPI POTTERY POLYCHROME EAGLE TAIL JAR POT by CLINTON POLACCA NAMPEYO. The piece is all Hand painted in beautiful Polychrome colors and Geometric Pueblo Designs and lower Eagle Tail Pattern. It comes in Very nice condition as described above. It is signed on the bottom by the maker. This piece is 8.25" tall x 6.25" approx in Diameter. Its a beauty!! Clinton Polacca Nampeyo is the grandson of Fannie Polacca Nampeyo, and the son of her son, Harold Polacca and his wife Alice, who was from the Akimel O'odham (Pima) tribe of Arizona. Clinton started potting around 1975 and had been taught by his famous grandmother Fannie Nampeyo. I am not very familiar with his pottery as this is the only one of his we have ever had the pleasure of owning. If this jar is any indication of his workmanship, then I must say he is a very accomplished potter and in researching on line, there are a lot of galleries that agree based on what they are asking for his works.
