EversonApproximately 7.5 inches tall and 4 inches wide This listing is for a Fenton 85th anniversary hand painted burmese glass cruet that has a pink and white floral design painted on it. The cruet stands around 5 and 3/8 inches tall, not counting the stopper, and measures around 4 inches wide. The cruet and stopper are both in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The cruet is artist signed. About Burmese collection: Burmese glass was developed by the Mt. Washington glass company in 1885 and was named by Queen Victoria because the shaded colors reminded her of a sunset in Burma. The Fenton Art Glass Company is the only company to successfully replicate the original Burmese formula in modern times. Fenton introduced Burmese in 1970. This particular style of art glass utilized heating and re-heating methods after being hand-blown to which uranium oxide was added to the gold in the translucent white glass. Once the glass was finished from being fired in the kiln, it was opaque. This metallic blend created the duo-toned glass in pale yellow and pink, but some pieces were made with brighter yellow and orange. The colors blended so well in the center that it became impossible to tell where the yellow ended and the pink began. The item is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The majority of collectibles in my shoppe are antique or vintage, therefore the condition may be reflective of this. I do my best to describe the item and indicate any flaws.
