It is used, and in excellent condition, with no cracks, however, there are a few tiny chips on the bottom rim. The jar is Santa checking his list, with a small elf in front painting the stripes on a candy cane. I am unsure of the age of the jar. It is 7.5" deep, 12" tall, 8" wide, across the shoulders, and about 7" front to back at most. I believe that the jar is a bit older, simply because there is some crazing in the glaze. It is a very cute Christmas cookie jar, and would be a festive addition to the kitchen during the holidays.
