Description: DATING TO THE 1920’S FASHIONED OF A SHEER BLACK SILK CHIFFON WITH A BLACK AND BROWN FLORAL SILK LACE INSERTED ON EACH SIDE WITH A PANEL IN THE FRONT HAVING AN INSERT OF LACE WITH METALLIC GOLD LAME CHAIN STITCH EMBROIDERY IN COLORFUL FLORALS TRIMMING AROUND THE LAPEL DETAILING AND ON EACH SIDE OF THE COLLAR EDGE. LACE INSERTION IS ON EACH CUFF WITH THE EMBROIDERY TRIMMING AROUND. DROP WAIST IS IN RUCHED GATHERING WITH THE SKIRTING IN LACE ALONG THE BOTTOM AND POINTED SCALLOPS OF THE EMBROIDERY WHERE CHIFFON AND LACE MEET. INTERIOR IS LINED IN A BLACK SILK CHIFFON AND THERE IS A FRENCH NUMBER TAG ON THE INNER NECKLINE THAT READS 50. CONDITION: THERE ARE APPROXIMATELY EIGHT TINY POINTS WHERE THE LACE NEEDS TO BE TACKED WITH STITCHING AND WOULD BE COMPLETELY UNSEEN WHEN DONE. THERE IS AN ODD OPENING AT THE RIGHT SIDE DROP WAIST THAT HAS A SMALL TRIANGLE OF SILK ADDED. I SUSPECT THAT THIS MAY HAVE HAD A BELTING AT ONE POINT. I PERSONALLY WOULD CLOSE THE OPENING WITH A NEAT STITCHING. NOTE THE PHOTO OF THE CUFF WITH THE OPENING TO THE LACE. THAT IS THE TYPE OF REPAIR NEEDED IN THE LACE AT SMALL POINTS IN THE DRESS.
